Politics in Jordan

Jesse's two newest blog entries (click on "Driving in Jordan" to the left of this post) might be of particular interest to all of you. In these posts, she recounts her attendance at two talks at her Jordanian university, one given by David Hale, the US Ambassador to Jordan; the other, by Prince Hassan of Jordan.

Jesse is doing her dissertation field work in Jordan for the year and considers the complications around Jordianian "nationalism"--how it is conceived (or refused) in order to enforce and delimit aid to its "citizens" both intra- and internationally. (god, I hope I got that right, J!!)
