Frosty
The grass was frosted this morning.
It's coooold!
It was a stunning--stunning--day here in Seattle. I finished my last spurt of grading before final papers come in at the end of next week and then pal-ed around with my new work friend. Although I don't make it a habit to make work friends, she is in an exception. She and her girlfriend have met up with K and I for drinks, and we are having them over this weekend, after we go get a Christmas tree and decorate it! Yeah! She's really a lovely person, and we did our last bits of shopping for our significant others around Ballard and Wallingford. A delightful day!
One of the things I love best about this new friend and her girlfriend is that they are the easiest people to be around. There is no pretention; there is no smugness or haughtiness. They love K and his sense of humor. Today, she told me that K is a male lesbian, so they love him. They like that he is laid back and has a quirky sense of humor. This, of course, endears them even more to me.
I am cold, but I am getting very excited about the holidays!! No Bah-Humbugs from me this year.
