Bonne Anniversaire
K got me a vagina cake for my birthday. It said, "Eat Me, Tricia!" on the side.
Best. Birthday. Cake. Ever!
He also gifted me with Alaska: he called on Thursday night and said for me to stay put (as I was getting ready to go downtown and see a friend's poetry reading). I confusedly said, "okay." He showed up with the vagina cake (yay!), and Alaska then peeked out from down the hallway. Squeals and a few tears later, she was happily in my apartment for the weekend!
Friday night, Mel, AK, and I met K in Ballard at The Matador for sangria and tasty fajitas.
K met us at the door and gave me a 2-disc CD he'd mixed and made for me (there are Meerkats on it!!!).
Afterward, a slew of fine folks came and had drinks with us at Hazelwood...
King's Hardware (one the way from Hazelwood to King's, I apparently [after about 5 cocktails] saw a sweater in a boutique window. I guess I really wanted it because I've been told that I lifted my leg on the glass and began humping the window in front of the sweater....yeah.)
We then moved on to our consummate favorite: The Viking (also in Ballard). They have shuffleboard, and we are fans. Furthermore, there's an older gentleman and his wife who have been nice to us when we've gone before (he liked what I was playing on the jukebox one time, so he and his wife gave me $10 to keep the music going. Woot!). This time, he bought me this pineapple-ish shot, which I vaguely remember, as this was about drink 10 or so.
We are very serious shuffleboard players...
Until "Tiny Dancer" comes on the juke...
...and then Toto's "Africa." It was all over. In the last photo, I think I was doing the running man. Perhaps it is true what they say about white people....
And K takes it away on the flute solo in "Africa"....
The rest of the weekend was packed with cupcakes,
vacuum humping,
bloody mary's,
and Gas Works Park.
Truly, this was one of the best birthdays I've had to date (and many have been excellent). Thank you to those of you who read this who came out and pitched in for my AMAZING mustard-yellow velvet coat! Yay!!
xoxo

FUN FUN FUN. And, L-0-V-E the new hair. Very Liza in Cabaret...
Happy Birthday, Tricia. Looks like you had a blast. I also must echo jazzp's love of your new coiffure. The short cut was cool enough, but how you've styled it in these pictures...awesome! And you know how reserved I am about using exclamation marks...
yay birthday happiness! miss you lady pants! also, i love the new hair!
