Sasquatch!

K and I are headed to the Sasquatch Music Festival on Saturday, courtesy of Paulaska (Paul and Alaska)!! We plan to start with Grand Hallway, then Beirut, then M.I.A., then The Breeders, and finally, R.E.M. It's supposed to be 75 degrees and balmy. It will be fabulous!

It will also be an amazing diversion from a rough week. The week opened with my mom's doctor telling my aunt that there was nothing more they could do for her except to ease her pain. Tuesday and Wednesday didn't bode much better, but this morning, my aunt called to tell me that my Mom pulled through her 4th surgery in 2 weeks, and she was actually out of the woods!! My aunt snuck her cell phone into the ICU (a no-no) so I could talk to my Mom for a couple of minutes. It was wonderful and a relief to hear her voice: exhausted but with clear strength.

Through it all, K has been amazing: he bore the brunt of my anxiety with aplomb.
