Niente
This weekend, we did nothing: no time schedule, no plans, and no obligations. No grading or prepping or anything. What we did do, however, was enjoy the 80+ degree days (and I attempted to manage the fact that my Mom was re-hospitalized on Friday night and there's nothing I can/could do about it).
We heard about a big ol' cheese festival in downtown and decided it sounded great, considering we were looking for any reason to be out and about on such a gorgeous day. I took this shot on our way to the bus. This is a glimpse of the Olympics (to the Northwest) from my neighborhood:
On the way to the cheese fest, we were distracted--by everything: the clear views of Elliott Bay, lunch near the water...
Elliott Bay Books, lovely fire escapes in Pioneer Square...
Beer and wine on a cafe patio, chocolate covered strawberries...
the perfect Saturday-dose of porn at The Lust Lady (in honor, of course of the new Indiana Jones, opening May 22nd. Woo hoo!)...
Pike Place Market, and, to top it all off, a BBQ with K's boyfriend, Brent (no, really--Brent is his best friend and roomate. Heh):
And, finally: the Market at night....
And, no, we didn't make it to the cheese fest.... ;)

Love the "Market at night" photo. Glad you both are doing so well up north!
