Cannon Beach
We had a little get-away to Cannon Beach before I flew off for training in UT.
This was our cozy little cottage, complete with mini kitchen, mini pot-bellied stove, and mini shower. This mini shower had a creepy red heat light, which Kyle felt turned him into some sort of demonic creature. Observe....
We spent the majority of our time walking on the beach, sitting on a log on the beach, and talking on the beach. Common denominator is...???!!!
Day Two was begun in town at Lazy Susan's for yummy breakfast, and Kyle was representing with his Sounders jersey. Woot!
The rest of day two was spent sauntering through crappy tourist shops. However! We did find a tasty candy store, where you can watch them pull salt water taffy and a musty little used book store. We also had--you guessed it!--more beach time...
We also saw this weird "Dada Rules" car...
I was very much in love with the sunshine, since, well, we don't get it much in Seattle.
We made it to a pub that looked really promising...
...until we learned that no only do they not have GUINNESS on tap, they did not have pub food. BOOOOOO!!! We decided that "pub" was, therefore, a misnomer. Nonetheless, we enjoyed some local brew, which was okay.
This picture has a stupid story to it. I was looking off into the distance, and said to Kyle: "Look at that ship! It's so close!" It was actually just a lighthouse out on the water. Oy.
My love note to Kyle in the sand: "Kyle's Ass Stinks!" Heh.
And, finally, our fuzzy moment.
