Chill factor
I am sitting here watching Frasier and wondering: why the fuck are all those people on the show so cozy? Why is their hair straight, and where are their parkas? They don't carry coats or scarves. WTF?!!? It is COLD here, and wet, very wet. Yeah, yeah, I know Frasier is a TV show, but that is some false advertising....
I'm excited about a job I just applied for: a Communications Editor position at the Seattle Opera. Keep your fingers crossed!
K an I are laying low and are not spending any money to go out, but we did take ourselves out on Saturday night to see Walk Hard. Meh. Tonight we went downtown to Shorty's, this punk-rock bar that allows dogs as well as humans, has a pinball room (I kept accidentally typing "punball." Ha!) and boardwalk/carnie decor, and serves cheap hot dogs and good beer. Our downtown-bound bus was 30 minutes late, which doesn't seem like a big deal, but as I said above, it's fucking COLD. The beer and hot dog made my frozen tosies worth it, not to mention the randowm guy who was wandering around the bar in appropriately paint-splattered painter pants and a de-hooked fishing pole and wire.
I finally got internet of my very own, so here are some photos from Christmas Eve through K's birthday on the 29th.

MOVING DAY!!
I took up 3/4's of the UHaul:

Shasta Pass: K took care of the tire; I read in the cab.
We finally made it! Our first night in Seattle, at the start of the night:
Half way through the first night, and we'd had quite a few cocktails and a car bomb. Here is K with Mel, my new roomate:
Here's K by the end of the night. Note I have conveniently maintained control of the camera, and there are no photos displaying my own inebriated prowess on the dance floor. Heh, heh...
The next night, we went downtown and had sushi as part of a surprise birthday dinner I organized for him. We were greatly humbled by our drinking bonanza the night before and were in bed by 11. Ha!
