Blechhh

I'm getting ready to leave UCR after a full day of Scripps syllabus prep, reading, printing, and running around the department (dropping off keys and books and meagerly smiling at some of the shitheads in the halls). I CANNOT WAIT to leave this place. No, I 'm not sour and bitter, but my god, I've been here for 6 years and am ready (as I explained to the infamous Jeremy, whom I ran into while I was getting coffee) to detach from this proverbial nipple.

Don't get me wrong: the English Department has been good to me--really good. But I am done done done.

Yeah, and remind me of this gentle rant when I whine in a month's time that I don't have health insurance or access to the fall yoga classes at the rec center. Heh.

Scripps starts in the morning. I am ready.
